Route Planning Tools & Calculators

Use these side by side with the Skills Center and route guides. They’re built to answer real planning questions: range, fuel, pressures, and load.

🧭 Planner

Overland Expedition Planner

Break trips into legs, estimate fuel and range, and track camps, borders, ferries, and key resupply points.

Best on desktop or tablet with your mapping app open in a second window.
🛞 Tyres

4WD Tyre Pressure Calculator

Terrain-based starting pressures for sand, rock, corrugations, mud, and snow – tuned by vehicle class and use case.

Pairs perfectly with our tyre and traction articles and the Traction Mastery ebook.
📋 Load & Weight

Vehicle Load & Weight Simulator

Model passengers, cargo and upgrades to see how they affect axle loads, roof capacity and overall weight.

Use it as a visual planning tool, then confirm final figures at a certified weighbridge.
Skill Up Before You Go

Core Skills & Safety Guides

Start here if you’re still building confidence. These are the foundations that make everything else (routes, tools, fancy gear) actually work on the trail.

Tip: Save a couple of these to your phone or tablet for offline reading on the plane, ferry, or in the passenger seat while you scout routes in the planner.
